"Let me start out by saying that the style and color (olive) are great. The organazation was also good, just not the smell and feel of the leather. There was a funky smell and the leather looked liked plastic. Very shiny plastic. Which is just not my thing. Sadly, I am retuning it."

"I usually prefer to get larger bags than this one, but when I saw it presented, I just had to give it a shot. I was lucky to get the purple--love it--absolutely beautiful. The leather is soft, but the bag doesn't shlump into a puddle when its empty or you put it down--I don't like bags without structure. I can put my Kindle Fire 8.9 in one of the side pockets to walk with--I have to remove the cover, but the Kindle does fit fine on its own. And I measured it--it's a bit more than the 3.5 inches they say it is on the bottom for the depth, so it's roomier than you'd expect. And I've become a big fan of pockets inside and out on a bag, especially when I'm willing to spend half a paycheck on one. MC gives you these nice pockets without asking you to spend half your rent on the bags. For me, the more pockets inside and out the better--I will never buy another bag without organization again. And the wallet--the same day I received the bag, I went online looking for a wallet, and the only one that came close was the Fiona, but they don't have the colors to match Sydney, and it's in snake print, which I don't care for at all. So I'm hoping to see a wallet in the smaller size to go with this bag. Overall, I love this bag--a great way to break in my new Shop-NBC card."

"I love this pocketbook, love the purple, it has lots of room. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of the two outside compartments, I would have like to had snaps or Velcro to close...other than that I love it!"

"My last handbag was 5 yrs old and wearing. I hated to give it up because it was one of the best for organization. This one comes close. I enjoy using it and it looks good as well. I am glad I made the purchase. Would do so again."

"The handbag was described as genuine leather but at least half of it was made of leather-like material. Poor quality leather was used - small white cracks were visible on the textured leather front section when I first took the bag out of the box and inspected it. Very disappointing! I sent it back for refund."

"I received this Sydney handbag, in the olive color (my favorite color for this bag), for Christmas and I love it! Of the 3 Madi Claire bags that I own, this is the best yet. The sides and handle are a rich olive green and the front and back are more of a neutral khaki, making it a refreshing change from the basic brown or black. The olive colored part is soft and luxurious to the touch and the croc embossed part is smooth and stiff. It doesn't collapse when empty. The size is perfect. You can carry all of the essentials, and then some, without the bulk of a large bag. I even carry my tablet in the main compartment, not possible in many medium sized purses. It's great to be able to switch purses for the season and still be able to find everything, as the inside always has the same features that I have come to count on to keep me organized."

"The capacity of the bag is ideal and the design and color are spectacular. The magnet closing is very strong and almost closes itself when I flip it over. I purchased this bag hoping to use it as a shoulder bag but because of double handle the shoulder strap is off-kilter and the bag doesn't fall right off the shoulder. I like the bag very much, it suits my needs except for the shoulder strap. I am getting used to using it as a hand bag. I love the color."

"I purchased the camel, and it is a lovely shade that happily does NOT come off as orange. In fact, the camel reminds me of the color of vintage alligator bags I have seen at antique shops. The bag has all the room I would ever need, and accommodates my full size IPad. The alligator embossed leather does have a subtle bronze like burnish that was not evident from the pictures. And yes, the alligator pattern is genuine leather, but the remainder is simulated leather."

"I purchased the brown color for every day use. The bag is a great size and not to big. Made very well and very attractive. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is the outside closing latch on it doesn't sit straight, it sits to the left side when closed. It should lay in the middle in the front of the bag. I'm not returning it for another one because of this, because quite frankly, I don't want to pay S&H again both ways. There was a note in my purchase from ShopNBC stating that the bag was randomly selected for Quality Assurance Inspection to ensure that it meets their standards. I kind of laugh at that, because you cannot miss how the buckle closure sits to the left side. I would purchase a Madi Claire bag again in the future, just nothing with the same type of closure."
