"First let me say this is my first Flying Tourbillon movement watch.Over 50+ Invicta's now in a 16 month spand.Let me tell what is great about this watch.First the Tourbillon Movement which is deliver excellent time as well it should on the basis of this movement. What really caught my eye was this amazing dial in black of this 3D carved octopus.Invicta really does theme type watches really well.To name a few,The Russian Diver with the sea theme inspired octopus, the other new Russian Diver Tourbillon with the diver's helmet, the VenomViper, with the snake head and scales of the snake's body, the Glowing Dragon in the Subaqua noma 3 as well as the cut out Dragon in the mop, and Spider in the Subaqua Speciality Tourbillon. I have 3out 6 of these watches in my collection.I'm so happy Invicta used this movement in the iconic Russian Diver.I have about 5 Russian Divers now,but not of this caliber.Love the finish of the brushed and high polishing on the case with it's coin edged bezel. The bracelet is also nice.Love the 3 half barrel textured inserts on the bracelet.Invicta is using the same Off Shore Russian diver bracelet in this watch. Plenty of full links and half links for perfect sizingThe only thing I wished Invicta used was screws instead of pins. This would've made a better secure bracelet. This is a very high end watch with it's Chinese Seagull movement, althought not Swiss Made, I have plenty of Seagull movements in my collection and they are quite realiable. The plating of this movement on exhibition back is striking. Not a nickel plating,a elabore plating. Before this watch was presented I looked on the specs of this watch and I noticed the description of the crystal was mineral. For such a high end watch I was wondering why is Invicta using a mineral crystal.I was a little hessitant on purchasing this watch.I called Invicta's customer's service and questioned them about the crystal in this watch. They told me it is up to the designers on what they choose to put in a watch. So I said is the crystal mineral or Flame Fusion? They told me it's Flame Fusion. For anybody that doesn't know what Flame Fusion is,it's basically a mineral crystal combined with sapphire for impact and scratch resistant.I personally would prefer a sapphrire crystal with anti- reflective coating. For you collectors who bought this watch including me, a Flame fushion is a better crystal than mineral, but can still scratch,.If it so happen to scratch,Invicta's customer's service said they would replace the crystal free of charge within 45 days of purchase. After 45 days the crystal would cost to replace is $600,"ouch!!!" I asked them 1 more question.Out of curiosity,I asked them how much are you guys selling this for retail price? They told me $9,000.We really got a bargain on this one.Even with some of it's minor glitches I'm still giving this a 5 star rating.Time will tell if this watch will hold up.Pardon the pun.By the way my Limited Edition is #99out #233.
"I have the rose dial version. The rose tone comes off as more of a copper color on this execution because of the dials matte finish. The dial has a hand hammered/embossed copper look to it that gives this Russian Diver a very up scale almost dressy appearance. The band is very ample and has plenty of full and half links so it's very easy to get just the right fit for your wrist. The Seagull Tourbillion movement is very accurate and easy to wind and set. I love the Russian Diver because it is large 52mm but not nearly as thick as other watches in this size range so it's easy to wear and isn't overly top heavy. Like I said this one is a winner a true home run!"
