"I absolutely love this dutch oven! I've used it twice since purchasing it. The first time I used it I made fresh green beans with potatoes and it cooked it perfectly! The juice from the green beans even thickened without me having to add anything to it. The second time I made cabbage with it cooked much faster and was so good! I really love this dutch oven and the blue color looks so pretty!"

"This is a great French Oven. I purchased the 8 quart and like it so much I came back for the two smaller sizes. I was too late to get the mid size but luckily this smaller size was still in stock. These pots cook and keep both hot and cold foods as well as their much more expensive boutique shop cousins. The red color works perfectly with the rest of our kitchen decor. Cleanup is a breeze."

"I ordered all three sizes in this cast iron pot and was amazed at how beautiful they were. The images of the purple online simply do not do it justice. I was even more pleased once I started cooking with my 3qt pot. It heats evenly and my beef stews came out so tender. However, after only about 3 or 4 uses, I'm already observing some cracking of the paint around the edges of the lid (which apparently is considered "normal" under the warranty). It is not bad enough yet to be a deal breaker but if it progresses, it will vastly change my opinion of this item. 3 stars for beauty and function, but clearly the quality is not quite there."

"I am so glad I ordered this dutch oven in the 7.5 qt. I use for so many things, short ribs turn out great, I even make homemade bread in this! I must say I would much rather use this then a slow cooker any day! I have had zero problems with it and I use it every other day since receiving it. I just love this item!!! Thanks SNBC!"

"I have had another brand enameled cast iron piece for 10 years no problems...know how to care and prevent thermal shock etc...temp changes etc. Used this 2x and a small pin hole appeared in the interior coating enamel. Not a good sign..Also, ordered larger size and it too showed 2 holes early on. Not cracks but a hole from enameling being poor. Will be returning larger size"

"What's the difference between this cookware and the premier brand that will set you back four times these prices?
The finish.
Cosmetically, the exterior enamel is not smooth. If you look straight down the sides of the pieces you will see all sorts of uneven surface. Kind of bumpy looking. It doesn't show in the photos, but this is the big reason for the big price difference between this and the premier cookware. Beyond that, what is there is complete - there were no poorly finished edges, chips or defects in the enameling. These pots are very well packaged in order to survive shipping
In cooking it performs just as well as the primo expensive brand, it's just not quite as pretty. Keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed and can save a pile of cash.
Lastly, these pieces are not for every cook. The 7 quart pot weighs nearly 18 pounds empty. Now toss in a 5 pound roast, veggies & liquid and... well you do the math. If you are thinking of getting this for your arthritic Grannie... think again. You need to be a "robust" cook to handle these 7 quart dutch ovens."

"I purchased this item because I have been looking for a Dutch Oven for some time. My sister ordered one and gave me the heads up on this one. It is great!!! I got it in the blue. It works great. I've made chili, I've fried chicken in it and made beans quickly in it. It makes the food taste very good due to the fact that the lid fits tightly and it's cast iron!!!! Great product.. The flexpay option makes it that much more appealing... Will be ordering another one."

"This is my second Cook's Tradition cast iron pot that I have bought for myself and I love this one as much as the oval French oven. In fact, I bought several oval French ovens for Christmas presents in all different colors. This newest pot is the biggest one yet. I got the 7 quart size and I love it because it accommodates my family-size recipies for soups, chilis and stews which we live on during the winter. As another customer noted, the lids on Cook's Tradition pots do not fit as tightly as the French made brand, but you cannot beat the price for the wonderful results!!"

"Love it. I can make a small batch of soup which is good since I am just cooking for me. One of the great things I have found is cooking beans in it but in the OVEN. I dont cook beans on top of the stove anymore. I just put a cup or so of beans in the pot fill it with water put the lid on and pop it in my oven at 350 for 90 mins and forget 'em till the timer rings. Depending on the type of bean if they are not done just add more water and about 35 min and they come out perfect."

"I love this Pan. My Mom used to have one like it but it did not have an enamel coating and was hard to clean. This pan is coated and does not taint the food in any way with a metal taste. I would recommend this pan to anyone that wants to cook in a cast iron pan."
