"The space bar on this computer was defective. It would not keep up with what I was typing so the words ran together. Sorry I can't give this a better recommendation. I've had no problem with Shop NBC up until now. I called Toshiba and they said after reloading the drivers that it was indeed defective. I returned it to ShopNBC."

"In this age of computers that have no DVD drives, It is a
pleasure working with a full sized laptop. It is fairly fast and has good grap[hics. The 750 gig HD is large for a laptop.
This machine is HEAVY. Don't consider a full sized laptop if you are weak. The utilities disk that comes with it has many useless utilities. You will find better free utilities on the internet. I would have liked a full backup copy of Windows 7 home pro."

"I purchased this notebook for my fiance who has big clumsy hands and wears glasses. He was using my small Acer notebook and struggled with it due to the small size it is. It served my purposes very well. This Toshiba has a great size keyboard and large screen with excellent, crisp clarity that he can see without his glasses on...Ladies, if your man needs a good solid notebook but can't stand the little buttons and small screens, this is your notebook. We love it! He loves it!"

"Keys stick, need I say more! Not worth the money and I would pay more for a better laptop, which is a shame because I've bought 2 of these before purchasing this one. Has to be a factory defect. Awful!!! I will stress however that I make all of my purchased through ShopNBC (3 King beds valued over $5,000 total; 47 inch television in 2006 that still plays like new w/o servicing; 3 laptops; jewelry; electric fireplace; pots; gaming systems; iPad; and so on) and this is the first time I've been disappointed, so I won't associate my disappointment with ShopNBC.com. When I notified them of my problem, they sent a return UPS label to me within two days, no further questions needed."

"Coming from a pioneer of the computer age (worked on computers that took up an entire building!) this computer is absolutely top of the line! Graphics are comparable to Apple's best! Super fast quad processor, tons of Upgradable RAM (not really needed with the 6g's that it comes with). With the LED display everything is super sharp and crisp. I always prefer Toshiba as they are always on the cutting edge of technology. The HDMI output almost eliminates the need for cable tv!! More hard drive space than anyone could possibly use! Included software features just about anything you could need right out of the box! My only regret is that they are out of stock! I really hope that they get more so that I can order another one for my daughter! Price is unbelivably low in comparison to other laptops with half of the power of this super computer!! HIGHLY recommended for any type of computer use from the beginer to the professional user. Cannot say enough about this awesome awesome computer!!!"

"I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and, so far, I'm not happy with it at all. First off, the keyboard lights up like a dashboard. Glaring white lights that hurt my eyes---including one across the top of the touchpad.
The keys feel cheap and mine keep sticking. I type something and when I go back to read it, I find the space bar hadn't worked, letters are missing.... Also, the right and left click bars need more than the average amount of pressure to work.
But if you use TOO MUCH pressure on the keys, or even just slighty move the computer a message from the Toshiba Service Station comes on and states that it detected a vibration and so the hard disk drive head has been moved to a "safer position". I've never encountered that on any other computer I've ever used.
My other two issues with this computer are the speed and battery life. The quad core AMD processor is no faster than my last computer---which only had a dual core AMD processor. I'm still getting the hourglass and aggravating little whirly-bird on this one, too.
To give you an idea of the battery life, I started off an hour ago with a fully-charged battery. I'm already down to 49% left.
It's a beautiful computer with a big, beautiful screen that's great for watching videos and movies on. And the speakers are the best I've ever heard on a laptop. It definitely doesn't look like a cheap, junky computer. But, in my opinion, it runs like one."

"I bought the laptop soit could be moved around the home. My old one frequently spect time in my lap. With the Toshiba, movement of my legs cause the laptop to locked down the hardrive. This was never a problem before. Had a few other issues."
