"I think it is a "Great" buy. This device takes you right to your destination without trying to figure out "What Exit do I Pick" which everyone I have heard has that problem with the other GPS devices, it's a life saver when highway driving."

"I bought this on good faith and feeling confident that I had found a great deal for the price. However, when I tried the GPS unit out right in Fort Lauderdale (not in some rural area where you might expect a few glitches) the unit gave incorrect directions. I was looking at my bank on my right hand side and it kept telling me to turn left !!! So I thought I would give it another chance and then it told me to get in the farthest right lane (on a 3 lane highway) and turn left. Impossible."

"I have a smaller GPS that needs to be updated, however, an update costs $60. So, I went ahead and bought this one.The price is reasonable and I won't have to pay for updates. The larger size is helpful and I love the mat-no more "rings" on my windshield, or trying to reattach it when it falls off!!!!!!"

"Receved my Garmin GPS within 5 days. It was ready to use right out of the box. Took a trip the next week and the directions and voice instructions were right on target. I had updated the maps and that process went really easy. the ease of navigation and added features was an outstanding value. The dash mount was great as I could install it on my left side which made it much easier to see the lane changes in congested areas much easier."

"I bought this Garmin as an update to a dated model(2007) which I never updated- Yikes! Anyway- typical Garmin- easy use, bright display is lovely. I know that other reviews had commented that the maps update takes 6 hrs or so. Upon receipt, I attempted a map update- lasted 2 days and the progress seemed to stop, so I unplugged. Here's the thing- of you put your model number in FIRST- on the Garmin website, it will tell you whether your maps are current or not. Garmin doesn't fail- you cannot go wrong."

"GOT IT IN TIME FOR THE NEXT TRIP. AND IT WORKED GREAT. THE OLD WAS KEPT TELLING US TO UPDATE AND WE NEVER DID. NOW GLAD WE DIDNT THIS ONE IT GREAT AND HAS MORE THEN THE OLDER ONE. BUT THE OLDER ONE STILL WORKS BUT LIKE THE NEW ONE BETTER NOW. THANKS AGAIN."

"From the watching the airing of this GPS, I thought it might be better then my 2 year old Tom Tom that I do really like....but I was wrong. I sent this back after trying to find a bakery 3 miles from my house and it took me the the opposite direction and left me no where near my destination. I could not even set a location for a wedding I was going to, it could not find the street or the cross road near it. I sent it back the next day. Tom Tom is the only one for me!"
